Efficacy of Monetary Policy Measures on Price and Exchange Rate Stabilty in Nigeria

The study investigated the efficacy of monetary policy measures on price and exchange stability in Nigeria using Ordinary Lease Square (OLS), Johansen Co-integration approach Error Correction Technique time series data collected from 1981 to 2021. unit root tests Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) found that consumer index rate are integrated order zero I(0) money supply, lending rate, interest external reserve stationary at first difference I(1) also show there exist a long-run relationship among variables. revealed supply (MS2) shows positive statistical significant rate. In view these findings, concluded recommended government ensure stable economy, is need for them diversify economy so as channel excessive resulting deficit financing, different economic yielding ventures remote causes instability select proper instrument capable controlling economy.
